Before surrendering a pet to ACCT Philly, owners are encouraged to explore all options that may allow them to keep the pet in their care. Many programs and services exist specifically to assist owners facing emergencies and other unexpected events.
PACT For Animals Military Foster Program
In the event of military deployment, PACT For Animals provides an alternative to surrendering a pet to a shelter. Military service members’ pets are matched with PACT foster volunteers who can provide a loving home for the pet while the owner is deployed. Contact PACT for more information.
