Hi world, my name is Heathcliff! Don’t you just hate it when your family moves and can’t take you along? Me too! But I’m not letting that get me down. I’ve quickly become a volunteer favorite at the ACCT Philly shelter, probably because I’m what they lovingly refer to as a “big doofus.” Even though my previous family said I was at least 9 years old, everyone I meet at the shelter says you would never know I’m more than a young adult. I’m in great physical shape for an older dude and I have plenty of energy to chase toys in the play yard. I love meeting new people and charming them with my big goofy grin. I can be a snuggle bug if given the chance. As much as I appreciate when people come to visit me in the shelter, I really hate going back to my kennel after being out and about. And who can blame me? Luckily, I can’t resist tasty treats and the volunteers are happy to bribe me to go back in. But really, I’m waiting for the day where I walk out of the kennel to meet some people and don’t have to go back inside because they adopt me! Could you be my new people?! I should let you know that I am already neutered, up to date on all my shots, and am ready to go home today. I’m 70 pounds of love with a beautiful red coat and silly ears. Come on down and meet me at ACCT Philly. If you have any questions about me, contact my volunteer pen pal Sarah, firstname.lastname@example.org. I can’t wait to meet you!
