The ACCT Life Saving Department enlists a network of over 200 local, regional and national Rescue Partners to transfer animals from the ACCT facility to rescue organizations for treatment, training and adoption. ACCT’s Rescue Partners range from breed-specific rescue organizations, to wildlife rehabilitation facilities, from small animal sanctuaries, to large no-kill shelters. Hundreds of animals are transferred each month (more than 12,000 yearly!) from ACCT to Rescue Partners. In addition to a robust transfer program, ACCT provides support and capacity building programs for Rescue Partners to help expand and improve animal rescue efforts. For example, transport assistance, pet food and treats, and free or discounted vet services are provided to Rescue Partners.
Because ACCT Philly will be a new organization, separate from the PSPCA, beginning April 1st, 2012, ALL past, current and new rescue organizations MUST re-apply in order to be approved to rescue animals from the ACCT Philly facility. Whether you’ve already recently applied as a rescue partner with ACCT, or you’ve been rescuing animals from ACCT since the beginning, ALL partners need to register a primary contact person and apply as a rescue partner with the new ACCT organization.
