Lifesaving Counselors are responsible for the promotion and placement of urgent animals brought to our shelter. Lifesaving Counselors work with adopters, foster parents, and animal rescue organizations to save as many animals as possible! Counselors handle animals to create promotional materials, review and communicate medical and behavioral information to Rescue Partners, and help match families with suitable pets. This is an excellent career path for anyone who wants to work directly with Philadelphia’s most urgent animals, and grow their experience within the world of animal welfare.
