With over 18,000 cats, dogs, and small and exotic pets and wildlife, a smooth entry into the organization is critical for ACCT Philly as an organization, and for each of those animals as individuals. Thorough and comprehensive medical exams, provision of core vaccines, and scheduling of next steps when and if needed helps ensure that, from day one, animals medical needs are met while they are in care. As a a leader in the medical department, working at the direction of the Medical Manager, the Intake Coordinator leads and oversees nurses assigned to the medical intake process ensuring consistency, thoroughness, and a great understanding of individual animal’s medical needs and their potential impact on the entire population.
