ACCT Philly is waiving adoption fees Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 16, as part of a May Day Adoption Special.
As the only open intake animal shelter and animal care and control provider in Philadelphia, the shelter takes in hundreds of animals weekly, and is encouraging those who can to consider adopting or becoming a foster parent to help pets in need.
All adopted animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and adopters are also provided with a voucher for a free exam at VCA Animal Hospitals as well as at Washington Ave Animal Hospital, great coupons from our friends at Petco Love, a free small bag of Hill’s Pet Nutrition pet food and one free GoodPup virtual training session (as well as a discount on future sessions). Best of all, you’re changing the life of an animal which is priceless.
The shelter is open 10am-6pm daily, and has many animals available for adoption at the shelter as well as in foster care. It offers same day onsite appointments, and those interested in adopting can read more on the adoption process here. Questions can be sent to adopt@acctphilly.org.
Interested adopters can view available dogs here and available cats here.
The shelter is also looking for fosters, particularly those who are willing to take large dogs and adult cats! Fostering is a great, low commitment way to change the lift of a shelter animal. Sign up to become a foster here.
Those unable to adopt or foster can still help by spreading the word by sharing the organization’s social media post, as well as purchasing items off the Amazon wishlist!
