Sam (17787508) is a nice dog. Of course he is, he’s a pittie mix! He’s somewhere between 1 & 2 years old and about 60 pounds of stocky love. Sam was found wandering the streets of Philadelphia but is now safe as a guest at ACCT Philly. Sam is a curious guy. He loves to sniff around new areas to find out what’s there or who’s been there. Get him out walking at a good clip, and he’s a bouncy happy fellow who aims to please. He’s a pretty relaxed guy, walks well with an easy-harness, and could care less about your fumbling about him to put in on – he’s very patient that way. On his walks, he likes the company of other dogs, so he might be a good candidate as a second dog! Sam’s ideal family will be one who will allow Sam time to adjust to his new environment, giving him time to decompress after living on the streets and in the shelter. Please consider adding Sam to your family, he’s a beautiful dog who deserves a family that will love him forever.
Sam participates in the Pen Pal Program. Sam is currently paired with a volunteer who works with him on a regular basis to teach him basic commands, provide him exercise and help to keep him stress-free and happy while living in the shelter. They also promote him to potential foster parents and adopters! Want more information on Sam? Email his Pen Pals at firstname.lastname@example.org or katherine.ACCT@gmail.com!
